the tundra and its people
the yakut people
The Yakut people live in the northern eastern part of the Siberian tundra. there are two kinds of Yakuts the northern tribe and the southern tribe we're talking about the northern one. It mostly just hunts meat and fish. The history is more interesting in the 13th century they migrated there and settled down, they had some peace before the Russians pressured them to pay a fur tax in the 1620s after that they rebelled a few times between 1632 to 1642. Finally after all this pain they finally got what they wanted.
